The First Responder Whiskey Society has partnered with the Milwaukee Police Association to release this memorial bottle for fallen Milwaukee Police Officer Peter E.C. Jerving. Our charity will donate 100% of the net proceeds to Officer Jerving’s family via the Milwaukee Police Association.
Police Officer Peter Jerving was shot and killed while attempting to arrest a robbery suspect at 1:16 am near the 2700 block of South 14th Street.
Officers were looking for a suspect who had just committed a robbery at a nearby apartment building. The suspect fled on foot as officers approached him. One officer caught the subject and a struggle ensued.
The subject fired his handqun and it struck Officer Jerving who was running to the scene to assist. Despite being wounded, Officer Jerving was able to return fire and killed the subject.
Officer Jerving was transported to Froedtert Hospital where he succumbed to his wounds.
The subject had been sentenced to probation for two hit-and-run crashes the day before.
Officer Jerving has served with the Milwaukee Police Department for four years and was assigned to Police District 4. He is survived by his parents, six siblings, and a long-time girlfriend.
This commemorative bottle of whiskey has been created by Liberty Call Distilling in San Diego California. The company is marine owned and a friend to all first responders. The bottle boasts superior quality work compared to other engravings because it is sandblasted, not just etched. The whiskey is a delicious straight bourbon aged a minimum of 3 years, then double aged for a minimum of 6 months in small charred oak barrels.
The bottles can be shipped across the United States except for the restricted states of Alabama, Alaska, Hawaii, Kentucky, Mississippi, and Utah.
Please allow 7 to 10 business days for processing and 3 to 5 business days for shipping as each bottle is custom made per order.
